Retro Games Collector is the brainchild of Ant Harper from the West Midlands in the UK. He has been an avid video gamer from the age of 6 or 7 when he started out on the slippery slope of visiting arcades with his father in seaside resorts whilst on summer holidays and being seduced into giving up his pocket money to the shiny new cabinets. Playing on electromechanical games such as Jet Rocket, Killer Shark and Grand Prix and the newfangled microchip based games such as Gunfight, Lunar Lander, Night Driver, Asteroids, Pong, Space Invaders, Battlezone, Scramble, Frogger and Defender sparked his interest in home computing and video gaming.
One Christmas morning in the early 80s he got what he had pestered his parents for – a home computer. It was only a humble Sinclair ZX81 with a wobbly 16K RamPack and a few games (PSS Frogger, Fantasy Games by Sinclair and a copy of a GulpMan by Campbell Systems) but it was the start of something that hasn’t ended to this day…
36 years of gaming, many 10 pence pieces, countless consoles, computers and years later here we are and he now an extensive retro gaming and Sinclair computer collection years in the making. You will now find him doing battle on Xbox Live (Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3), trash talking with the best of them but still finding time to dust off his Atari VCS, Intellivision and ColecoVision for a spot of good old cartridge-based retro gaming. Oh, and his father now plays Nintendo DS!

Hi there, I have been collecting Sinclair related items for years but I think that I have taken it as far as I can and looking to pass it on as one grands sale. My problem is delivery. To give a scale to the collection I have a ZX81, ZX Spectrum rubber key, hard key, 48 red box, plus two grey, plus 2 black and plus 3 all boxed in what I would say very good condition. The collection goes on to included over 1200 original games. Deep breath here – every issue of Crash, Sinclair User, Your Spectrum, Your Sinclair, ZX computing ever issued – basically one copy of every copy of every UK Sinclair related magazine producted. I also have other peripherals. Do you know anyone who would be interested and as I said delivery is the issue as I live in Glasgow. I know I could break it up and sell on ebay but it would just take too long. Gamesdruid
