Spotted! Nintendo Satellaview

Up for eBay auction with a Buy It Now price of £299 is this rare boxed example of the Satellaview, a system comprising of the Satellaview adapter which the SNES sat on top of using that connector that was er… never used, an 8Meg data module, application cartridge and power supply.
The Satellaview was designed to receive data from the satellite radio station St.GIGA which would then be stored on the data module (which in turn plugged into the application cartridge). Not surprisingly the satellite transmissions have long since ceased and this is essentially only good as a doorstop. Or an interesting and collectible piece of gaming history. Take your pick.
