On the whole I prefer retro gaming. I play the NES, SNES and N64 regularly whereas my PS2 gathers dust. Saying that- I do enjoy playing the modern consoles every so often. I own a Nintendo DS and am looking forward to Scribblenauts in particular. Comparing old and new is totally different. Games are just different now. Points, lives, boss levels- all aspects that have transformed over time. For the most part I prefer retro gaming though. I'd choose Super Mario Bros over Call of Duty any day.

Leave it out, progress is about leaving the old crap behind. I don't care if a game is good today, tomorrow there will be something better and that means today's game will be history. Playing something from last year is bad enough, why on earth would you want to play anything older than that?
