After reviewing GreyFox Book’s fantastic first book; Atari: Visual History of the Atari 8-bit Computer we were exteremely excited to hear that a second book; CoinOp: The Arcade Guide was already underway.
Being big fans of the arcade, this book’s 300 plus pages showcasing the best games from the golden era of arcades really appeals to us here at RGC HQ.
The visual-heavy A4 sized book not only covers all arcade genres including sections on side scrolling shooters, shoot em ups, arcade driving games, horror arcade titles, 1v1 fighters and arcade action games but will also showcase a huge array of arcade marquee artwork and a section entitled ‘Arcade Hall of Fame’ which will contain artwork from around 30 arcade flyers.
CoinOp: The Arcade Guide is shaping up to be the definitive guide on arcade gaming and if you remember the excitement of dimly lit arcades, full of the sounds of rows of coinops being played then this book is an absolute must.
