Chances missed – rare Sinclair PC200 online auction

Sinclair PC200

Now, normally I would publish these before the auction ended, to let you all know of a great and rare vintage computer coming up for sale. I kept this Sinclair PC200 to myself because I wanted to have a bid and I’m not likely to go and increase the interest on something I want now am I? It was all in vain however as this rarely seen example of Amstrad’s attempt at a replacement for the Sinclair QL sold for way more than I could afford to shell out (see pic above). Shame, would have been a great addition to the collection…

  1. Hi, I have two of these going to auction in the next week or so…the first works perfectly and is complete with the 14″ Colour monitor, the second is for spares.

I also have the Amstrad PC20 version of the same computer so anyone that is interested – keep an eye out!

  2. I have one that I was going to bin. Has been in storage for years. Powers on but no software so don’t know anything more. Has 12″ monochrome monitor with it. If there is any interest, comment on here.

After I published this article, Roy in the comment below sold me his PC-200. I recently just passed it onto a friend. They are pretty hard to come by, working or not. Nevertheless, good luck with finding one for your project!
