The current ‘Backer’ or ‘Pre-Order’ version of ‘From Bedrooms to Billions,’ the crowdfunded documentary film that tells the story of the UK Video Games Industry, funded by people pre-ordering it over the last 22 months, with iconic Oliver Frey designed cover will no longer be available to buy in its current format after 31st May 2014! This ‘pre-order’ or ‘backer version’ version will be unique and highly collectable because it is only for those who supported the project, funding the film’s production by pre-ordering via crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo, Kickstarter and later from the film’s website (www.frombedroomstobillions.com). The window to become a backer and receive this unique version of the film and to be included in the one and only issue of copies closes 31st May 2014!
Once we pass the 31st May, the film will no longer be available from the website and one single order will be placed with the replicators. Everyone pre-ordering the film before 31st May 2014 will get their copy shortly afterwards and the film will be removed from the website from June 1st 2014! There is a UK wide cinema tour being planned to start from September this year (keep checking www.frombedroomstobillions.com for details) and the film will be out on all formats (DVD, Blu-ray etc) by Christmas. However that version will not be the same as our ‘pre-order version’ with Oliver Frey artwork as it would be repackaged with a new cover. This makes the current ‘pre-order’ or ‘backer’ version highly unique and collectable as it will never be available in this form again!
There are pre-order incentives currently available for both film and soundtrack. Anyone who ‘Pre-Orders’ the film before 31st may 2014 not only gets access to the films’ BACKER’S ZONE (http://www.frombedroomstobillions.com/backers) which is loaded with extended film clips and music but also immediately receives an exclusive pre-order only download bundle containing 4 extended clips which are; ‘Matthew Smith on Manic Miner’, ‘David Braben on Elite’, ‘Mel Croucher on Deus Ex Machina’ and ‘Rob Hubbard on Coding’. Pre-orders of the soundtrack include never to be re-issued alternate versions and bonus tracks by Rob Hubbard. These ‘extra’ films and audio clips will never be available again in these formats again after 31st May 2014.
The website www.frombedroomstobillions.com also contains various other items of merchandise such as the Official Soundtrack CD’s, T-Shirts, highly rare signed gaming items such as computers and games as well as the film’s official posters exclusively designed by veteran video game magazine artist Oliver Frey (ZZAP!64, CRASH), all of which will no longer be available after 31st May 2014.
