This is a bit late being posted but post it I feel I must (sorry Tim, my 2 week old is taking up a lot of my days and nights!).
I haven’t really backed many Kickstarter projects. I think the uncertainty of whether they will ever finally come to fruition puts me off and I simply can’t be bothered. This project is different. This project really got me excited.
The brainchild of Tim Nicholls (@woodpunk) from London, this project (already fully funded but more funding will make good things happen) will bring about an Art Book that no retro gamer, whether casual or hardcore could possibly deny wanting. The book itself will be a large landscape hardback coffee table book, crammed full of beautiful marquee and sideart artwork from a hundred or more coinops of old. Tim is using painstakingly restored original artwork for use in the book and if it turns out like I think it will, this book will be a beautiful window into an arcade world that is in danger of being forgotten.
